Christmas Time!

Wow! I can't believe Christmas is here already!!
Here's some pics from our December days!

Here is my Christmas Tree! (I actually put it up a little before Thanksgiving...so I've been enjoying it for a while!)

Erin and I at the Christmas tree farm
(We always cut a tree every year!)

And here it is all decorated.

This is my Hallmark Barbie ornament...I collect these!

Of course Ollie has been a good addition this Christmas. :)

We have made more Tea Cake cookies this year than ever I think! They are so good and cute...
but I think we are about tired of seeing them for now! :)

Lots of posing in front of the Christmas tree has gone on of course!

Erin & Me...ready for a Christmas party

This cute little tin I got was FULL of candy to the top!

A few of my presents from friends!

Just a pic of Erin and me

And lastly, this would be me in my $88 houndstooth coat that I got for under $30!
It is very warm...perfect for these cold days we've had!

Hope your holiday season has been great!

Merry Christmas!

hAPPY tHANKSGiViNG!

First off....
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalm 107:1

Hope you've enjoyed this Thanksgiving day!
We had a nice lunch with my family, and now we are just hanging out.

Now...I guess the Christmas fun will begin!!
I've actually been enjoying my Christmas tree since last Friday...I just couldn't wait!

Last year, I had a star on my tree...but I found this really cute bow on sale at Hobby Lobby, and I thought it looked perfect! This is just the second year for me to have my white tree, so I'm still loving it!

So, in the past I've loved summer clothes waaay more than winter clothes until this year. I keep finding all these winter clothes I just love!!

My top favorite winter things: sweater dresses, boots, moccasins, and jackets. I've just recently discovered how much I love skinny jeans, too!

I am in love with these shoes!! They look cute with a lot of my casual clothes. I got them from American Eagle...for half price!

I found a really cute pair of black suede slouch boots that were on sale. They even have zebra print lining! :) Here is what they look like...except I bought black, not gray.

Today, I ordered a nice houndstooth coat...$88 on sale for $30! I'm loving these sales!

AND...I am also in love with these watches!!! They are so cute...and sooo cheap! $15! So far I only have a black and white one, but I'm hoping that will change after Christmas. ;)

Tomorrow = IRON BOWL!!

It should be a great game!!

ROLL TIDE!!
and Happy Black Friday to all you shoppers! :)

:)

NO SCHOOL TODAY!! It's parenting day! :)
We get out of school a lot this month. Along with today, we get out next Thursday, and then at the end of the month for Thanksgiving break...and we even got out early last Tuesday for bad weather.

Last Sunday afternoon (10-24) was the tailgate party at church...the one I made the cookies for. :)

Our pre-tailgate outfits. Haha! Meredith and I totally didn't plan this, but we did have on our Bama outfits that Sunday morning. :)

(I feel so short when I stand by Meredith...and I'm really not all that short - 5'5.....and a half! Meredith is just tall. Haha!)

Erin and Me. (Sisters divided...ROLL TIDE!)

On another note, check out these pretty mums Casey got Erin!

Hope your week has started off great!

Happy Saturday!

Tomorrow we are having a tailgate party at church, and I wanted to make some of my favorite cookies to take...

Tea Cake Cookies!! :)

I made pumpkins and leaves. We don't have a football cookie cutter, or I would have made some footballs. I thought they turned out pretty cute though.

I forgot to put the vanilla in them...but hopefully they're still as good as the ones my mom and sister made earlier this month.

Tomorrow will be 2 months since John and Jordan passed away. Can't believe it's already been that long.

Halloween is just right around the corner, too. But, that doesn't really excite me all that much. I hate anything scary, so Halloween isn't for me. I loved Trick-or-Treating when I was little, but now it's just not fun. I only like stuff like harvest festivals and pumpkin patches. The non-scary stuff of Halloween. Haha!

Happy Saturday! :)

It's All About the Houndstooth...

Mom and I went shopping today. Ahh, it almost felt like our summer shopping days! Haha. I bought way too much, but we had a great time....and pretty much everything I bought was one sale. :)

I've seen some people wearing this houndstooth hat recently...

...and I loved it! Today, I bought my own. My sister thinks I'm crazy for buying a hat because I NEVER wear hats. EVER. I just thought this was too cute, though!!

I also found the cutest houndstooth shoes...for $12!

Why were these very cute houndstooth shoes on sale?
Probably because Alabama messed up big time on Saturday. Ha! I'm kidding.

Houndstooth is for sure my second weakness - zebra print is my first. Ha!

Tomorrow = ortho appointment (retainer check-up) and more shopping!

Hope you've have a great Monday!

Fall Break!

FALL BREAK is here! We are out of school until Wednesday. Not a very long break, but at least we get out. I'm pretty excited to have a looong weekend.

I came home from school yesterday and was extremely happy to see these Tea Cake Cookies on the table.
My mom and sister made them. They are yummy...and very cute! :) Perfect fall treat.

Speaking of Fall...we had some very cool days this past week. I've never hated the cold weather, but I think this year I'm not going to like it at all. I already miss the 90 degree days spent by the pool. Haha!

Happy Friday!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

Hello, Fall?? Well, honestly I don't think the fall temps are here yet, but today is still a very beautiful day. It is rather hot (about 90 something degrees), but at least it isn't very humid. There are NO clouds in the sky today, we're grilling out later this afternoon, Mom's making a dessert that looks like it will taste amazing, Bama football in a little bit....it's just a good day. :)

I also ordered a new Bama shirt this morning!!

Verrrry cute! :) I love it!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Almost a month later...

No, I didn't fall off the face of the earth...I'm still here. :) I have been super busy lately and just haven't had time to blog. These past few weeks have gone by sooo fast! But, hey - I'm not complaining! Haha!

What have I been up to lately? Let's see, I've wrote a 4 page research paper and currently working on my second one, read my summer reading book, worked on projects, recited a poem in Spanish, studied my tail off for my college history class...yeah, school has pretty much consumed me latley. :/

Also, I've been to the orthodontist about 500 times since I last blogged because my retainer wants to be a problem! I already have had to get a new top one made...not because I lost or broke mine, but because my teeth have been difficult to work with from Day 1, and they won't give up now. Ha! I'm going again Wednesday afternoon to pick up my 3rd top retainer.

I have to say that school was going pretty good until August 24 when everything changed in a matter of seconds. I found out on that Tuesday night that two guys - Jordan and John - who were in my junior class had been killed in a wreck involving a log truck about 3 minutes from my house that afternoon. (It was also Jordan's 17th birthday.) Although I was not very close to either one of them, this has been one of the hardest things for me to deal with. It has been emotionally draining for us all. I think our Junior class has become stronger, though, and I hope that this tragic event has changed us for the better. This past week was much easier and things are starting to get back to normal.

Well, the fall schedule has officially arrived. I can't believe it's already September!! Haven't seen too many pool days lately, and I've only seen very few shopping days. Football has started and it's already Labor Day. Man...where has 2010 gone?!

Ollie is also a big boy now. We've had him for 2 months already!!

Looks a little chubby, doesn't he?!
Hope you are all doing wonderful! Happy Labor Day! :)

Weekend & First Day of School

This past Saturday night, my family and I went to eat supper and swim with my sister's boyfriend's family. It has been just soooo hot here that their pool felt like bath water. Seriously. It was really warm, but we enjoyed ourselves.

Erin and I

Erin made a very yummy & cute cookie cake to take over to their house.

Sunday was, of course, church! Sunday night was a great time of testimonies for the domestic mission trip team.

Yesterday was my first day of my Junior year.

Honestly, it was not very good. I think EVERY schedule in the whole school is messed up. It's a mess. I don't even have a history class...but oh well! Who needs history anyway? Well, I guess I do since I'm supposed to be taking a college history class this year. Hopefully everything will be worked out soon. It's just crazy trying to get what classes I need and drop the useless ones. I don't think I've ever not had a core class though! That's how bad the schedules are messed up.

Today was ok. Still not the best. I did get a top locker, though. The first week is always super wild and crazy. I'm just ready for it to be OVER!!

This afternoon, I was waiting for the tardy bell to ring in my Science class when this girl sat down smiling in front of me. She seemed really happy and nice. I honestly thought she was just a super friendly new kid. Haha. I was way wrong.

Turns out she was my best friend from the 2nd grade!! She remembered exactly who I was. She used to have blonde hair, but now it's dark brown, so she looked a little different. But, after she told me who she was, I totally remembered her. Crazy, huh?

Hope your week has started off great. These past two days have been super long, boring, and tiring for me. So as for now, I'm just waiting on Friday...and Summer 2011. :)

Pool Day, School Supplies, & Yellow Box

Ahh, look at that lovely water. It would look even better if this pic wasn't from my phone. Haha.
Yesterday, Mom and I had a nice time swimming. It was very hot and sunny, so we decided to hang out by the pool. Not many more days of that left, if any, before school starts. :(

Today, Mom and I are going to Staples to get all the school supplies we had planned to get on Tuesday. Then tonight, I will get my Junior Year school schedule.

Okay. Everyone loves yellow box flip-flops. Between me, my mom, and my sister, we have a pretty good collection. I haven't been sporting mine much this summer, though. I've been wearing a lot of t-strap sandals...I love those!!

Anyway, this morning I was trying to decide what to wear when I realized I had a really cute pair of Yellow box in my closet. I had left them in the box, so I never really noticed them. I think I've worn them once. Well, I'm wearing them today!! They have a white background with pink polka dots! Kinda like I got a new pair of shoes.

But on another note, it's terrible to think I have a pair of shoes that I've had over a year and worn them one time when there are a lot of little boys and girls with no shoes at all. I am so blessed with all that I have. A lot of times, I will get upset when I have "nothing to wear" when it's really just that I don't want to wear what I have. There are no telling how many things I've worn once and then just decided I didn't like. I mean, these are a good pair of shoes...not a $5 pair...but yet, I've worn them maybe once?? So today I'm reminded to be very thankful! I am one blessed girl!

Hope you have a great Thursday! :)

Little Shopping Trip

Well, me and Mom decided to do a little more than grocery and school supplies shopping today.
We went to the mall, Target, Sam's, and we also stopped by Hobby Lobby to pick up a Personalize It clock for my sister.
I did happen to find a really cute swimsuit (50% off!) and a cute cover-up that was also on sale. We just had a simple little shopping day. :)

I also found the CUTEST container today.

Okay, let me explain. Last school year, I took a pack of pop-tarts every day for lunch. Yeah, I know - kinda strange. But, they made a good lunch for me! Pretty much every day, the people that sat at my lunch table would ask "What kind you got today, Anna?" Seriously. That was like the daily question! Haha! It was no doubt that every day I would have a different flavor pop-tart for lunch.

So, me and Mom were at Wal-Mart, and I saw this and just about died. How can something so simple make me as happy as this did? I don't know. Maybe I'm just a simple little person...or plain crazy. I'm sure everyone around me thought I was crazy. I mean I was EXCITED!

But anyway...I now have a very cute container to take my pop-tarts to school in. Haha!! :)

This would be my little lunch box that I found today...and the sandwich container to match. I probably don't even need this sandwich container since I now have an awesome pop-tart one...but that's for the occasional PB&J I may take. And it was only a dollar. :)

Have a great night! :)
