Wireless Printer!

Well, it's officially the last week of summer before school starts! Hope it's a good one!

I did get a wireless Cannon printer yesterday. It's all set up in my room and working just fine with my laptop...which I still LOVE! :) We went out with the family to celebrate my granparent's 50th anniversary last night. Went to church this morning, and now just relaxing at home. This is our last week of Summer Connections at church...back to normal Sunday nights next week!

I think I'm getting ready for fall. I have NEVER wanted to see summer end, but this year I'm really thinking fall sounds nice! I'm kinda getting ready for some football! And those cool fall days.

Have a great week!

No Power, No Sleep

Yesterday was my last day of my summer job! I had it all planned out to sleep in late this morning...but that didn't work at all. It was very stormy here last night. I went to bed around 10:30....and by 11:30 pm I was up for pretty much the rest of the night/morning. Why? Because we lost power, and when we lose power, I don't sleep. I HAVE to have my air purifier to sleep. I can NOT sleep without it. The second it goes off, I wake up. It's just something about that sound! Haha. So this morning around 5 (after tossing and turning all night), I decided I would just give up. Needless to say, I only got about an hour of good sleep last night. This morning, we went and got Jack's for breakfast. Then we headed to my Mema and Granddaddy's house...they had power. :) We took our stuff to get ready for the day. I had a hair cut appointment this afternoon, and we also did some school supplies shopping. We got power back around 2:45 this afternoon!

On another note, Mom and Dad bought me a laptop, and it came yesterday!!! I was so excited to get it. I absolutely LOVE it! :)

Happy Friday Eve!

Senior Pics!

Here are just very few of my Senior pictures. All credit goes to Melissa Robinson. She did an amazing job, and I'm sooo glad it worked out where we found her! We did the session at a local park in the extreme heat! But, you can't even tell we spent 2 hours in over 105 degree heat index. I am very pleased with all the pictures. My prints actually came in yesterday, and they look great. Now, my Presitge pictures on the other hand....are HORRIBLE!!!! We have to get our drape and casual shot done by them for the yearbook. I am not happy with those at all. They wouldn't let me smile as much as I wanted to. I even ASKED to smile...but they said no! :( So, I'm only smiling in very few. OH WELL!

Be on the lookout for more Senior picture stuff! :)

I only have a few more days of work, and I'll be done for the summer! Plan on spending the next couple of weeks shopping, swimming, and probably reading...because I have yet to begin my summer reading. Ha!

Have a great LAST WEEKEND in July!!! :)

It's been awhile...

So, summer is just about gone, and I haven't blogged the first time! BUT, I've had an amazing summer and stayed super busy! I was gonna upload tons of pics, but Blogger is giving me an error...so that will have to wait.

My beach trip with Laura was AMAZINGLY GREAT!! Sooo much fun. I could go back to the beach right this second!

I've been working for my dad this summer answering phones and doing paperwork at the store he manages. Thankful to be able to make some money!

I'm actually not dreading going back to school...as of right now. Haha:) I think I'm excited about SENIOR year! Just about done with highschool! Gotta make this year count!

Speaking of SENIOR...I got my senior pics taken and absolutely love them!! (Not the ones the school did, but the ones where I chose the photographer.) We spent 2 hours out in the super hot weather...as in around 110 degree heat index! But it was SO fun & definitely more than worth it. The pics turned out great. I'll share those soon!

I'll try to post all my recent pictures soon!

From Easter to Tornadoes..

First off, we had a wonderful Easter!! It was a beautiful Lord's day, and we enjoyed our time together.

My Easter basket.

This past week has been totally different. I have seen something I have never seen before...a natural disaster in my own state. As I'm sure you have heard, Alabama was torn apart last Wednesday. I am SO thankful that my family was safe during all the many tornadoes. Our house was safe as well. But, many people (as close to about 8 miles from us) had everything taken away. Houses are destroyed, and many people lost loved ones. It's crazy to see complete devastation so close by.

Power has still not been resotred everywhere yet. Thankfully, we only lost power at my house for about 30 minutes on the day of the storms. So many people are still without power, though. We just got internet back at my house today, and T.V. has been in and out. We've been out of school and are supposed to go back Thursday if everything goes as planned.

Please keep Alabama in your thoughts and prayers!

Choco-Kissed Cookies

Mom and I made a new recipe tonight!! They turned out super cute. I'm taking them to my Sunday School class in the morning to celebrate April birthdays! :)

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 up granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 large eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
48 Hershey Hugs, unwrapped

Beat butter, peanut butter, sugars, and vanilla in bowl until smooth and creamy for about 3 minutes. Beat in eggs. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa, and salt. On low speed, beat into butter mixture. Refrigerate 30 mins to an hour.

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough into balls, 1 tablespoon each (size of a quarter). Dip each ball into sprinkles, so one half of the ball is covered. Place sprinkle side up on an ungreased baking sheet, 1 inch apart. Bake until set, about 9-10 minutes. Press an unwrapped Hug into each cookie. Let cool slightly on sheet on rack. Removing cookies to rack and let cool completely.

*Very sticky!
*The recipe says to bake for 9-10 minutes....we did 8-9 minutes.
*Don't put sprinkles on the side of the ball too much...it will cause the cookie to stick to the pan.

Enjoy!!
