Me

Michael :)

5 months later...

So here we are May...and I've missed blogging a LOT of stuff...

So here's a quick "fill-in" on the past 5 months.

First off...Christmas.

Me and Michael both got each other Fossil without knowing!  (With other stuff, but this being the main present!)

He picked out a really good charm for my new Fossil bracelet.  We met in the library so this book that opens with a heart inside was so perfect!! And thoughtful!

Here we are on New Year's!

Then on January 5, I turned 18!

So Michael took me to Outback...and got me a new charm to celebrate!

This was us on our first Valentine's Day!!

And this is what Michael crafted for me! :)

And I also got this heart charm!

Just a cute cupcake from Gigi's! :)

This was our 6 months celebration at Bridge Street! Perfect!

Had lots of pics from Spring Break...but I'll just share one!  Went to Pigeon Forge with Mom!! Fun!

Easter!! (with Ollie!)

What I put together for Michael!

And here is my Easter basket!

Got these kicks when I went to Nasvhille...Michael and I took a special trip on prom day instead of going to prom! We had a wonderful time!

That's just a VERY brief update for now!

Tea Cake Cookies!

Tea Cake Cookies

1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 cups plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream sugar and shortening together. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Set aside. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and add first mixture. Roll out dough and cut into desired shapes. Bake 8-10 minutes.

To decorate:

1.) You can add colored sugar to these cookies before baking.
OR
2.) You can ice them and decorate with sprinkles! (Cutest turn out this way!)

Enjoy!!

Make your own Christmas ornament!

Okay, so I have a Pinterest now....ADDICTING!! I will always be linking my stuff to this blog.

Here is a cute Christmas ornament idea....
and it is so easy to make!

I got all of my supplies at Hobby Lobby for pretty cheap!

What you need:
- Clear glass ornaments
- Scrapbook sticker letters of your choice
- Shreaded grass (I used to paper kind, not the shiny kind)
- Ribbon

I put the letter on the ornament first, then put the grass in...you could do it either way. Just make sure the letter sticks good without any bubbles. As far as the ribbon goes, you can put as little or as much as you'd like. I went simple with the first ones I made, but I've seen others that have about 3 different kinds tied to it. It's just up to you! Also, when stuffing my grass, I used a little stick (looked about like a chopstick). I think it came with a bag of cotton stuffing we bought to make pillows. You just need something to help get it down in the very bottom.

Super easy & cute...and the possibilies are endless.

Makes great gifts for friends too!

Spacing Issues

Okay, so my post below won't do right...it's all spaced in random spots. I've tried several times to fix it, but it won't stop spacing! So please ignore the randm blank spots!! I'll try and work on it again later. :)
